New Stagers: Amateur Theatre in South West London

New Stagers: Amateur Theatre in South West London

Welcome to New Stagers.  Whether you call us an amateur theatre group, an amateur dramatics society, or amdram club, our aim is to perform high quality non-professional theatre in South West London.

Our main base is  St. Anne’s Hall, in Wandsworth, SW18, where we hold our auditions, have our weekly rehearsals,  and put on most of our shows.  We also perform in other locations in South London.  For example in the last few years we’ve taken productions to local theatres such as New Wimbledon Studio, Wimbledon,   Tara Arts, Earlsfield and, most recently, at the Colour House Theatre, Merton Abbey Mills.

We are one of South West London’s longest-established amateur theatre groups and we’re known for our adventurous repertoire and high-quality work.We perform a wide range of shows including serious dramas and comedies (both classic and contemporary), and an annual pantomime (panto).

We have members from all over South London and further afield.  St Anne’s Hall is 5 minutes walk from Wandsworth Town Centre, and only a short hop from Clapham Junction train station. It is also close to Earlsfield and Southfields (SW18), Putney (SW15), Battersea (SW11), Fulham (SW4) and Wimbledon (SW9).

We’re friendly, inclusive and always looking for people to join us, either on or off stage.  Our members take part in the whole range of activities from acting, directing, lighting, sound, stage management to helping with front of house and keeping the energy levels up with cups of tea.  We also have regular socials.

More information is available on our recent shows and future shows.

We hope you like our website and encourage you to come along to one of our shows, or better still join in with the group.
